Two Marches by Dirk Lievens
0 59 €59.00
Dirk Lievens writes a 'trauermarch" and in contrast with this piece a joyful happy March.
In the first March the basic tempo is slow, celli and basses sing the first melody, imitated by violins and violas. During the piece the scales of Bb major and g minor are used.
The bowings are legato. A great piece to work with the intermediate orchestra on sound and melody/accompaniment functions.
In the second march, the first violins present a joyful allegro melody. The second more melodic theme is played bij viola's and cello's. Every group is playing melody and afterbeats or bass. In the middle of the piece, 4 soloists bring a few bars of famous music pieces, but the orchestra refuses to play on, and the first theme is repeated.
Great fun on every concert!
