A Joyous Entry by Karel Vercruysse
In this happy Ouverture, the strings play a solemn entrada. After the opening in which the orchestra starts in C major and Eb Major, the strings come to a more quiet middle-part. Every group of the orchestra takes its own role: the bases make rhythm, second and third violins participate in a wel elaborated harmony, and the first violins play melody in first and third position. The ouverture ends with the same with the opening theme.
A great concert opener for your intermediate stringorchestra!
